Travelers will endlessly debate the merits and setbacks of their preferred airlines, but a new study has determined which airlines North Americans actually like (and hate) the most.

Using an AI tool to analyze all the positive and negative feedback associated with the Twitter handles of major airlines, S Money concluded which airlines are most loved and most hated by the people who fly them. And if you have a certain espresso martini-serving or in-flight restaurant catering airline in mind, these results may surprise you.

Coming in first place for North America's most beloved airline is Canada's domestic airline, Bearskin Airlines. 53.4 percent of tweets about this airline, which has operated since 1963, are positive, which is more than any other airline received. People love to complain online, especially when they're stuck in an airport. Canada's Pacific Coastal Airways came in second place, with Canadian North also making the top ten list.

Perhaps with air travel, the United States should also consider looking north for advice. Two United States-based airlines made the list of the world’s 10 most hated airlines, Spirit Airlines, with 62.2 percent negative tweets, and Frontier Airlines, with 61.9 percent negative tweets. American Airlines, Sun Country Airlines and JetBlue also got notably negative feedback.

The United States' most beloved airline is Alaska Airlines, which tracks with its high rating on the Wall Street Journal's newest annual Airline Score Card

When booking your next flight, it may help to go with what's popular.
