St. Lucia takes the number one spot, winning fans over with dramatic volcanic peaks, lush rainforests and secluded beaches designed for ultimate relaxation. Expedia deems this island the best for romantic escapes, so consider this one for your special someone.

Porto Santo, Madeira—a bastion of wellness and relaxation—takes the number-two spot. This European gem offers endless golden sands and a slow-paced, warm-weather reset far away from busy mainland beaches.
