Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards are here for 2023 and travelers have voted on their favorite spots worldwide to help others enjoy these top destinations. And if you're a beachgoer, you'll want to add these gorgeous sandy spots to your travel plans, stat.
In the top spot for America's best beach is Ka'anapali Beach in Lahaina, Hawaii. It's also ranked as the 10th best beach in the entire world, and if swimming in beautiful blue water surrounded by palm trees, volcanoes and lush landscapes makes you want to book a flight, this beach is calling your name. Ka'anapali's three miles of perfect white sand lend themselves to hours of sunbathing, and a daily cliff diving ceremony off Puu Kekaa is another highlight.
And if Hawaii is a little far for you, luckily the second best beach is in the continental United States, in Florida. Siesta Beach in Siesta Key, Florida is a public swimming beach that Tripadvisor notes is known for its clean and hard-packed sand. The barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico offers incredible sunset views, and like Lahaina, is an enjoyable destination year-round.
Tripadvisor's third-best beach takes a bit of a detour from the tropical vibes and delivers on the emo outdoor experience. Driftwood Beach in Jekyll Island, Georgia takes third place, thanks to its very peaceful atmosphere and unique natural decor, that is, plenty of driftwood. Who knew dead trees were so photogenic?
