These Hillary Clinton–inspired cocktails are the perfect way to end 2017

It's been a roller coaster of a year. Mostly downs. What more fitting way to toast the end of 2017—a simultaneously great and horrible year for women (#MeToo, Harvey Weinstein, the Women's March, the return of Taylor Swift, Wonder Woman, The Handmaid's Tale, Lady Bird)—than with Hillary Clinton–inspired cocktails? Simply titled Craft Cocktails by Val is a book by German journalist Heike Kevenhörster, and it details 47 original cocktail recipes concocted in real time during the 2016 election, with truly weird photoshopped images by Sarah Sole to match. If "Val" sounds familiar, it's the name of the bartender that Clinton played in a Saturday Night Live skit in 2015.

Want to mix a Fuck You, Iowa (corn whiskey, aromatic bitters, Aronia juice)? Or the Woman Card (tequila blanco, raspberry liqueur, light cream, grenadine)? How about Millennial Outreach (vodka, parfait amour liqueur, Rockstar Super Sours Lime Energy Drink, sugar) or the Cloth (vodka, mint, peppermint bitters, grapefruit bitters) served in a bucket and made to forget it all? The book even recommends downing the drink at midnight on New Year's Eve—perfect!

Sure, some images or cocktails don't make sense, at least to us (Alien Agenda? Tarzan?) and the photos might have you scratching your head. Bernie Sanders also nudges his way in—as is his habit. But still, consider letting Hillary help you ring in 2018. See some of the bizarre images and cocktails below:
