Whether you’re a frequent cruiser, a first-timer looking to get a taste of vacations at sea or a weekend warrior looking for a whole new way to recharge at the end of a week, two major cruise lines just announced regular weekend cruises to the Caribbean, a rare option in the world of cruises.

Royal Caribbean International recently revealed its Utopia of the Seas, a game-changing Oasis Class ship and the first of its kind to offer short getaways. Dubbed the World’s Biggest Weekend, Utopia will pack in a vacation’s-worth of fun into one three-day itinerary as it sails to Nassau and Perfect Day at Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean's swanky private island in the Bahamas.

The ship itself, which accommodates more than 5,600 passengers based on double occupancy, is stocked with options for any type of weekend fiesta. It boasts more than 20 different bars and entertainment spots, two casinos, live music venues, more than 20 dining options and five pools that range from high energy to low key.

The Utopia will set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida starting in July of 2024, and bookings are available now on the Royal Caribbean website.

Celebrity Cruises, sister cruise line to Royal Caribbean, has also announced new weekend itineraries to the Caribbean sailing throughout the year. Three- and four-night cruises aboard the Celebrity Reflection will depart from Fort Lauderdale beginning in April 2024. The itineraries feature stops in Key West, the Bahamas and—for the first time ever on the cruise line—Perfect Day at Coco Cay. Booking is available now at celebritycruises.com.

So if you’re looking for a new kind of weekend getaway or celebration, take it to the sea so you can party in the Caribbean and still make it back to work on Monday.
