Thinking about a summer road trip? So are 76% of Americans. But how about a trip where you just might come home with more money than you started with? Casino tourism projected to climb by 6%, and now a high-stakes question has finally been answered: what is the fastest possible route to visit every single casino in the continental United States? Just in time for International Casino Day on May 15, a new interactive map reveals the definitive path to visiting all 835 locations with extreme efficiency.

This wasn't a simple connect-the-dots exercise. The route was developed in collaboration with William J. Cook, the world’s leading expert on the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). This classic challenge seeks the shortest possible path to visit a set of points exactly once before returning to the start. To solve it, the team utilized the Open Source Routing Machine (OSRM), factoring in real-world driving variables including actual U.S. road networks and speed limits, current road conditions and traffic patterns and weather-related variables to ensure the drive is as realistic as it is efficient.

The sheer scale of this journey is staggering. If you were to get behind the wheel and drive non-stop, here is what the big casino trek looks like:

Total Duration: 31 Days (Non-stop driving)
Total Distance: 33,826 Miles
Global Scale: Equivalent to circling the Earth 1.36 times
Starting Point: Victoryland Casino, Alabama
Ending Point: Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River, North Carolina

The route kicks off in the South, hitting Alabama staples like Victoryland and the Wind Creek properties before swinging through the Florida greyhound tracks and the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa. From there, the journey weaves through every state with legal gaming, ensuring there is zero backtracking and no wasted miles.

Whether you're a math enthusiast or a die-hard gamer, this interactive map offers more than just directions—it’s a masterclass in efficiency. It proves that with the right data, even the most daunting 33,000-mile journey can be turned into a perfectly calculated adventure.
