But what do folks all around the country gravitate towards? It depends on where they live. Career website Zippia crunched the actual numbers to figure out what each state's favorite Valentine's Day candy is. The undisputed winners? Chocolate-covered strawberries.
Overall, all things chocolate reign supreme as the go-to selection across 45 states. After the dipped fruits, folks seem to prefer M&Ms and chocolate roses. Interestingly enough, people out in California tend to select candy necklaces over anything else.
To come up with the results, the website looked at Google Trends data, specifically defining "Valentine's Day candy as candies that peaked in search volume for the big day."
