Allegiant Travel Company, anchored by Allegiant Air, opened the new Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor in Florida last week. The highly-anticipated opening marks the latest step in Allegiant’s transformation into a fully integrated travel company that also includes rental cars, sports packages and more.

Sunseeker spans 22 waterfront acres on the Gulf Coast and includes 785 premier guestrooms, 20 curated food and beverage concepts, seven unique retail outlets, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and the guest-exclusive Aileron Golf Club. The Punta Gorda Airport, a top destination for Allegiant, is just minutes from the resort.

"We have helped pioneer selling ancillary products both inside and outside of an airplane, in turn, diversifying our revenue streams," said Gregory Anderson, Allegiant president. "Over the past five years, we have sold on average about 300,000 'third-party' hotel room nights per year to our customers. The opening of Sunseeker Resort is a key milestone in providing more customer offerings through our 'first-party' integrated resort."

The resort becomes a part of Allegiant’s ALLWAYS Rewards program, and members can earn points by staying at Sunseeker, flying Allegiant, renting a car through Allegiant.com and more.

The airline serves 10 cities in Florida with more than 200 routes, making this resort a logical step for expanding the brand. Find out more about the resort on the Sunseeker website.
