The decision to basically pay for people's quarantines works as an incentive to spur folks to travel without worrying about getting "stuck" somewhere and having to dole out extra cash to wait out the mandatory stay-at-home period.

All of the brand's properties boast on-site COVID-19 testing that guests can submit to before heading back home. If that test comes back positive, expect to quarantine for free at the hotel for up to two weeks and, if testing positive once again after that, you'll be treated to a discounted rate of $199 per night for up to three guests in the same room.
As of now, folks traveling into the United States must present a negative COVID-19 test prior to departure and will not be allowed into the country without it, so Palace Resorts' offering clearly sounds enticing. And the chain isn't the only one to be putting forth such policies: Xcaret, also in Mexico, is providing free quarantine stays to U.S. residents who booked a minimum four-night stay at their property. AMResorts is doing the same in the Caribbean and Mexico.
Between these new policies and recent news about Delta's decision to continue blocking middle seats until, at least, April 30 of this year, we're suddenly feeling a bit more confident about potentially booking a vacation. Thoughts?
