Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are stepping off the gridiron and into the restaurant game with a brand new steakhouse, and they're hoping for a big win. 1587 Prime is opening September 17 in Kansas City, and we've got your sneak peak.
Designed in partnership with hospitality group Noble 33, 1587 Prime is as much a spectacle as it is a steakhouse. There's a dramatic tunnel entrance that mimics the adrenaline of a stadium walkout; massive glass displays of premium dry-aged cuts and a sweeping two-story layout built for both game-day crowds and big nights out.

On the ground floor, a central stage pulses with nightly live music, while the sprawling bar seats 20. Upstairs, there’s space for more intimate affairs: a semi-private dining room for 40, plus a private VIP room for 20. Tables are strategically placed for a front-row view of the open kitchen, so diners can watch the culinary team work its magic.
Executive chef Ryan Arnold has stacked the menu with elevated classics including Japanese A5 strip, a boneless ribeye and the show-stopping 40 oz Wagyu tomahawk, carved tableside. Guests can load up their steaks with decadent toppings like lobster tail, bone marrow or blue cheese, or opt for signature bites like wagyu steak tartare with truffle aioli or the indulgent 1587 Twice Baked Potato, loaded with smoked gouda, crème fraiche, beef bacon and black truffle.

Drinks are equally ambitious. Beverage director Juan Carlos Santana has lined up bold creations like the Kingdom Come (Casamigos, mezcal, dry curaçao, absinthe, citrus, pomegranate) and the Showtime (aged rum blend, toasted coconut, coffee, Coors Light syrup, lime soda).
1587 Prime may have the swagger of its superstar founders, but Mahomes insists it’s still meant for the city that made them. “We’re going to do whatever we can to continue to bring people together,” he says. “And what better place than Kansas City?”
With the season just kicking off, the timing couldn’t be better. Whether you’re in it for the steak, the cocktails or just the chance to rub elbows with KC royalty, 1587 Prime is shaping up to be the city’s next MVP.
