There are many reasons why one might want to work as a flight attendant. The perks! The uniforms! The endless peanuts! Whatever your reason for wanting to live your best life in the sky, we have one more to add to your list: working for Netflix.

Recently, the streaming giant posted a rather unusual position on its jobs site and we’re intrigued. The Netflix Aviation department (yes, that’s a thing) is in search of an experienced flight attendant to support their midsize jet operations, specifically its G550 trips. This person should be based in Northern California and is expected to embrace Netflix’s culture of freedom and responsibility, which can be succinctly explained as being self-disciplined and accountable. Need a day off? Take it! See some trash on the floor? Pick it up! Easy enough.

The list of responsibilities includes the ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, being capable of long periods of standing, availability to work ground duty days, performing pre-flight inspections of the cabin, galley, and cockpit, and conducting safety briefings prior to each flight.

The real kicker here is compensation, something Netflix is known for doing generously. According to its job website, they “pay employees at the top of their personal market; a good-faith estimate of the highest compensation each employee could make at a similar role in local peer companies.”

The salary range for the job is anywhere from $60,000 to $385,000, depending on experience and other market indicators. No word yet on whether a streaming subscription is included in the compensation package, but we sure hope so.
