For the first time in 35 years, Diet Coke is set to undergo a sleek redesign that will also bring along with it four brand new flavors. We are, as the young ones like to say these days, shook.

The whole innovation process took over two years, during which the company chatted with 10,000 people from all over the U.S. to establish what, exactly, was needed to appeal to (who else?) millennials.

"Through extensive consumer research, we learned that younger Americans have an affinity for bold, yet refreshing and great-tasting, flavors in their favorite foods and beverages—from hoppy craft beers to spicy sauces," parent company Coca-Cola explained in a press release announcing the news.

The four official new flavors are Diet Coke Ginger Lime, Diet Coke Feisty Cherry, Diet Coke Zesty Blood Orange and Diet Coke Twisted Mango. Expect them on a shelf near you in the next couple of weeks (Canadian readers: These will get to you in February).

As far as the re-design is concerned: Both the new and the original flavors will now be delivered in thinner, 12oz. cans that can be purchased both in eight-packs and individually. Expect a color pallet boasting the brand's classic silver alongside "accents of bold color to represent the new flavors." Also, "a slightly refined typography simultaneously preserves Diet Coke's heritage, yet presents it in a more progressive manner."

If the change is causing you inexplicable anxiety, you can free free to breathe a sigh of relief right about now: Diet Cokes in existing package sizes and designs will still be available for purchase across the country.
