Bucket list update alert: Yelp has revealed its list of the 25 best new restaurants of 2023 in the U.S. The first-ever list includes full-service restaurants that opened between January 1, 2022 and August 7, 2023. The diverse mix of restaurants can be found in 14 states. From steak and sushi to farm-fresh fruit dishes, the menus at these new restaurants are garnering plenty of buzz.
The restaurants on this list were ranked based on total volume and ratings of reviews as well as insight provided by Yelp Trend Expert Tara Lewis. The results are a diverse mix of restaurants, including several that have earned Michelin or James Beard recognition. Five of the hot new restaurants that Yelpers are loving are in Florida. Many spots on the list boast a farm-to-table focus, featuring the freshest fresh ingredients.
So, which new restaurants rose to the top? Anima by EDO in Las Vegas comes in at number one on the list. The trendy tapas spot, whose chef was a James Beard finalist, features an open kitchen, roving gin-and-tonic carts, colorful murals, and of course, delicious, unique tapas. At number two on the list is Pomet, a New American “orchard-to-table” restaurant in Oakland that features hyper-seasonal ingredients picked by the restaurant’s owner. At number three is Manzke, a Los Angeles hotspot with a complex, globally-inspired menu that quickly earned a Michelin star. Rounding out the top ten are Oreatha’s at The Point in Atlanta, Rania in Washington, D.C., Osteria in Miami, Lion & The Rambler in Coral Gables, Ever Andalo in Charlotte, Laser Wolf in Brooklyn and Eating House in Miami.
