"Listen to Your Mother" Reading Series
Moms and Dads can head out to this one-of-a-kind, nationwide reading series encouraging women to share their stories of motherhood. The New York City show, which takes place on Mother's Day, will feature stories from 19 local writers and performers, including Barbara Patrick, DeBorah "Momma D" Gray, and Tracy Beckerman. Each woman will read a personal anecdote, story, or perpective on motherhood. For adults.
This celebration on the Hudson is all about motherhood: Mamas are honored with music and burlesque performances, live stand-up routines and lots of activities for little ones. Don't miss a performance from local preschooler-regaling punk rockers the Anna Banana Band, or a chance to jump around in the Gymboree play tent. All ages.
