Area: Seaside Heights / Vision Beach

This bougie beachfront stunner feels like you’re in a high-end epsiode of Jersey Shore, itself, whether you’re vacationing for a giant family reunion or celebrating with a group of your closest friends. There’s endless space here, and beautiful views of the sea from every window—bedrooms included. As if the four-bed, three-bath and three patios weren’t enough, extras include a hot tub, a bluetooth sound system, TVs with all the top streaming platforms, bikes, and an impressive BBQ grill to whip up an even more impressive feast come dinner time. 

Time Out tip: You’re in a lovely, quiet area, but also close enough to the boardwalk fun.

Another child-friendly abode, this lovely, bright four-bed in the family-oriented Point Pleasant Beach is full of kid-friendly touches, from a shelf full of board games and stuffed animals to bunk beds that siblings and friends will adore. As for the adult perks, you have a glorious backyard and grill, two full bathrooms (one with a bath), and refreshing outdoor shower for post-beach rinsing. You’re also a five-minute walk from the local Food Shack and Uncle Louie G’s dessert shop for those days where you can’t be bothered to cook. 

Time Out tip: No need to buy or bring beach chairs or umbrellas—the host provides them for your stay.

This condo is in the perfect location for beach and water lovers. You have the best of both worlds here, you can spend a beautiful day at the beach (as the condo is located right in front of it). And, when or if you get bored of beach days, or you find yourself visiting in the winter months, the building has an amazing heated seasonal pool you can make use of. Inside, the hammock in the living room will make you feel like you’re on the actual beach, and the kitchen will have all the amenities you could ever need.

Time Out tip: Book this beachfront for the 4th of July to really see the beach and boardwalk light up.

Area: Ocean Grove, NJ

Starting off strong, this massive Victorian home overlooks the lovely Wesley Lake, and sleeps eight people across four bedrooms. Each room offers gorgeous views of the water and surrounding landscape, easily a pastime in itself if you’re into watching the world go by. Multiple decks offer plenty of outdoor space for evening cocktails and card games while the sun sets over the sparkling body of water. 

Time Out tip: Stop at Sea Crab on Main Street for a delicious seafood boil to-go, then feast away lakeside.

Perk: Nestled on the lake, perfect for privacy, and with the walking bridge nearby that leads to Asbury Park.

Area: Atlantic Highlands / Middletown Township

A little out of the ordinary for the Jersey Shore, but still 10 minutes away from the sea, this little cabin near Leonardo Beach oozes main-character energy, and is the perfect escape from the city. There’s a comfortable bed and small kitchenette, a wood-burning stove, bathroom and shower, Wi-Fi, TV, sound system, and even air conditioning, along with a private patio with an outdoor fire pit. Outside, you’re surrounded by two acres of wood and landscaped gardens, and when you’re ready for a swim, the beach is a short drive away. 

Time Out tip: Start your morning zen by relaxing or meditating by the nearby koi pond.

Area: Lavallette, NJ

Design and comfort is the aim of the game when it comes to this snazzy condo in Lavallette. Compact, but bright, the apartment can sleep up to four guests, but we recommend keeping it for two so you can cuddle up to you significant other or bestie in style, while having some extra personal space if needed. The kitchen is small, but stocked, and double bed is cushioned and ready for comfiest night of sleep. Split your time between chilling out on the front porch, and laying out on the beach. 

Time Out tip: Bed linens and towels are not included, so rememeber to bring your own.

Perks: The Music Man ice cream shop and Vito’s Sandwiches are both a block away, and are great for picking up treats before the beach.

Area: Neptune Township / Ocean Grove 

With its original Victorian facade still intact, this renovated home is, indeed, a vintage dreamhouse. Inside, there’s a bunch of character in the mix-matched cushion patterns, wooden antiques and clashing modern bar cart (in a good way), and should you get lost, the ‘kitchen’ sign above the dining table should help you along your way. But the best part is the wrap around porch, where you’ll feel like a proper southern belle, sipping some lemonade and awaiting your next beach visit. Proabably sometime in the next five minutes. 

Time Out tip: If you need any last-minute essentials, there’s a grocery store five minutes away by foot.

Perks: Just a short walk from the bustling Ashbury Park boardwalk—great for local restaurants, boutiques, bars, and family-friendly activities.

Area: Oceanport

Grab your swim trunks and your flippy floppies, here’s the Airbnb of dreams for lovers of the SNL comedy skit and song, ‘I’m on a Boat,’  with T-Pain and The Lonely Island. Perfect for four, this unique little getaway on the water has two beds, a kitchenette and lounge, a bathroom and shower. If you like, you can ask the host about fishing or crabbing in the river, and should you need anything extra, your host, Keith, is happy to accomodate. 

Time Out tip: Climb on top of the boat at night for a clear view of the stars.

Area: Lavallette, NJ

Based right on a private beach, this huge modern cottage has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and fits eight ocean-ready guests. It’s a good excuse to grab some of your best friends or your family and make it a trip of a lifetime. Though it’s a cottage, you definitely won’t be short of space here. Based in a quiet neighborhood, it’s great if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life, too. 

Time Out tip: Leave a bucket of water to rinse your feet outside the front door because trust us, it will get sandy.

Perks: This is as close to the beach as you can get without the waves crashing into your bedroom.

Area: Wildwood, NJ

This Wildwood condo within walking distance of the boardwalk has a pool, fire pit, and sun deck that’s ready to be enjoyed by sun-seeking stayers. As for the condo, itself, prepare for the classic, sea-themed decor with starfish-studded bedrooms, fish-patterned shower curtains and puffy, nautical throw pillows. It’s homey, it’s cozy and it’s two blocks from the bay.

Time Out tip: The pool is a hit with the kiddos, but if you’re looking for more beach action, some stayers recommend bringing a wagon for longer walks.

This home fits... wait for it: 16 guests. It’s also a great price, so split that between all of you and you won’t have to splurge. Imagine sitting out on the deck as the sun goes down and hearing nothing but the sounds of the waves crashing. Sounds great, doesn’t it? Previous guests also note that it’s in a great location, with a beautiful view, and in a safe neighborhood. You can’t go wrong. 

Time Out tip: Dine on the deck at sunset for the best beach views.

Shack up in this sunny, two-bed condo with ocean views and access to the beach and a heated pool. Decorated in pale blues and butter yellows, with more nautical references than your favorite Below Deck episode, this apartment is modern, light, and spacious, with two full bathrooms, a kitchen and dining area, a living room, balcony with a view, and an outdoor shower. It’s right by the ocean, perfect for morning swims and evening strolls, and when you’re ready to head back from the shore, this cozy home is the perfect setting to kick back. 

Time Out tip: Sunsets on the porch are imperative.

Perks: Nature lovers can make the most of the location by trekking the Monahan Trail, just a five-minute drive away.

Area: Seaside Park, NJ

Aptly named “The Lookout”, this all-white exteriored Airbnb is a little piece of sunny paradise with three bedrooms, a full kitchen and bathroom, a cosy lounge with a giant TV, and an outdoor grill for those all-important barbeque days. The shell-filled backyard is fantastic for sun bathing, but when you’re ready to cool down, the ocean is moments away. However, if you're feeling like doing more than just a dip, the host has a large float that you can borrow, along with a kayak and crabbing gear.
