Acting Classes For Kids!

Winter Classes - January thru Feb 2015 Out of Box Theatre is pleased to offer acting classes for kids, taught by Alliance Theatre teacher, LeeAnna Lambert. UnBoxed - Mommy, Daddy and Me: For Preschoolers This class will help you learn how to use creative play with your children. Help them learn to express themselves better and how to enter act with others. This class is focused on early literacy and will help you and your kids fall in love with books. Saturdays 9:00-10:00 AM Dates 10,17,24,31, Feb. 7 and Feb. 14th Cost $100 $90 Early registration – by Dec. 15 Jack and Jill in the box: for Kindergarten-second grade Help your young actors connect with their creativity and let their imagination out of the box. We will be using the tools of the actor - our body, voice and imagination to retell our favorite stories and create interesting characters. We will be building our focus and our ability to work together. On the last class, there will be a demonstration of our work. Saturdays, 10-11:30 AM January 10, 17, 24, 31, Feb 7 and 14th Cost is $140 $125 Early registration – by Dec. 15 Out of the Box: Acting 1 For 3rd - 5th Grade This class will help your actor build their acting skills. We will work on how to create a character, how to work together in a scene, and how to be fascinating story tellers. On the last class, we will perform a short piece that will show off our acting skills. Saturdays, 11:30 - 1:30 January, 10, 17, 24, 31 and Februay 7th and 14th Cost is $140 $125 Early registration – by Dec. 15 Boxing Up the Comedy - Improvisational Theatre: Acting Without a Script We will learn how to create fun characters, how to build a comic but truthful scene, and build our focus and listening skills. We will create our own show while we perform on the last day. Saturdays, 2:00 - 4:00 PM January, 10, 17, 24, 31 and Februay 7th and 14th Cost is $185 $165 Early registration – by Dec. 15
