Cuddling Down South: A Cozy Sunday Soiree

Time Out says

Come celebrate the arrival of Spring (and help us raise money for the Sex Down South Conference!) with a cozy afternoon of cuddling! **What is Cuddling Down South?** Human beings need touch - this has been scientifically proven time and time again. And the health benefits of touch are endless! Touch has been shown to: *Release dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin: three feel-good hormones *Lower cortisol and decrease anxiety *Boost the immune system *Decrease pain *Reduce stress *Lower blood pressure *Lower the risk of heart disease *Deepen relationships and intimacy Just as we all need sex, we also need touch that is not about sex. With our busy schedules, we don’t often get enough of this in our lives. So this event is just what it sounds like - a place for folks to come together and cuddle. What you can expect: Cuddling Down South is a place to explore healthy, non-sexual touch. It will include a mini-workshop about the benefits of cuddling and the importance of communication, consent, and healthy boundaries. We’ll go over important skills such as asking for what you want and saying “yes” or “no” in a clear and loving way. We’ll have some ice breakers where folks can connect and get to know each other, and then we’ll have an afternoon of healthy, consensual touch and cuddling! Help us make this the biggest cuddling party Atlanta has ever seen! What to bring: Bring your own pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, or anything else that makes you feel cozy. Bring a friend or sweetie or come solo. Only $10! All proceeds go to support the Sex Down South Conference in October.
