"Elements" At Defoor Centre

“Elements” at the Defoor Centre. Four award winning Atlanta based artists will show works evoking an elemental interpretation of natural elements. The artists use a variety of materials such as minerals, pigments, paint, ink and resin on tradition canvas and steel.
“Meet the Artists” opening party: Wednesday March 11, 2015, 7-9pm.
About the Artists:
Patrick Dennis is a painter of atmospheric landscapes, collected throughout the U.S. His work is most often described as tranquil for depictions of land and seascapes rendered in broad strokes.

Melanie Rolfes is a colorist whose work has been featured in commercial and residential installations. Her use of pigments and paint blend into abstract expressions of perspective and emotion. Ms. Rolfes has painted professionally for over 20 years.

Michael Zavison is a master of industrial art. His newest architectural executions pay homage to his father, a steel worker from Chicago. His work incorporates the chemical reaction of minerals and pigment on steel creating vibrant, unexpected and brilliant abstract forms.
