Full Moon Lunatics And Earth Day In Piedmont Park says
The next full moon is Friday, April 22nd and it's EARTH DAY!!!!
It's a Full Pink Moon – This name came from the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of the spring. Other names for this month’s celestial body include the Full Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and among coastal tribes the Full Fish Moon, because this was the time that the shad swam upstream to spawn. Let’s be pretty in pink!
We're predicted to have a 60 percent chance of rain showers, with a low around 55, after a high of 79. Sunset is at 8:14 pm and moonrise is at 8:48 pm. The moon will be full at 1:24 am.

The Lunatics will gather to catch the sunset and moonrise, beginning about 7 pm. Please note the “summer” time of arrival.
We Lunatics meet on Oak Hill in Piedmont Park. It's just inside the park off 10th Street, across from where Taft intersects 10th Street.

Bring a chair and/or a blanket, something to eat, something to drink, someone, and something to share, if you like. Come spend time with wonderful friends, old and new, enjoying nature and the urban life. Some hardy souls may stay until 11 during the summer, but only ‘til maybe 9 when it’s cold.

Love and hugs!

Sherri, Leefa, Karl and Drew
