"Maiden Voyage" Making The Intangible Visible

As part of the First Thursdays Downtown Atlanta Art Walk, C4 Atlanta will be hosting "Maiden Voyage". By artist Roxane Hollosi, "Maiden Voyage" is a look at a personal journey, employing mixed materials to make the intangible visible. Roxane Hollosi is a mixed media Artist living in Atlanta. In her work, she explores the freedom of combining different mediums and materials, composing rhythmic and textured surfaces. She routinely incorporates a mix of drawing, painting, repurposed contemporary papers and materials to create energy and dialogue within her pieces. In the words of the artist: "I endeavor to create work that is a conversation rather than a mere presentation. My inspiration comes from the internal organic forms of nature intertwined with my core spiritual journey and commitment to validate my existence in and responses to the external world. By using fragmented images and materials of the world around me combined with pictorial mark making, I reveal a gesture, emotion and energy that exist within me."
