Join me for an immersive 200 hour training covering the history, philosophy and practical methods of yoga, Ashtanga yoga and the vinyasa method. 200 hour curriculum Areas covered include: general anatomy/physiology, philosophy of consciousness, the anthropology of yoga, yoga as cosmology, pranayama, alignment principles, standing and seated asana sequences, the eight limbs of ashtanga yoga, mysore style manual adjustment techniques, the art of teaching and emotional resonance, taking flight with the Bandhas, jump-thru and jump-back using your core, finishing sequence, tristana, and much much more. Critical thinking skills are emphasized and the student is encouraged to deconstruct the practice from a variety of perspectives both western and non-western (physical and spiritual). Duration 12 - 14 weeks (additional time may be required to complete all teaching requirements for Tract Two participants) Start Date Sunday March 1st 2015 Requirements include but are not limited to: Tract 1 Completion of weekly assignments Participation is weekly group discussions and practice sessions (8-12 hours per week). Tract 2 All of Tract 1+ Completion of all assisting and teaching requirements Completion of all exams Price (includes a $250 stipend applied to books both digital and physical and other materials, all yoga classes and workshops at onlYoga are free during the 14 week training period, a 25% discount on all studio yoga materials during the training and more) $3300 through Jan 15th $3500 through Feb 15th $3700 After Feb 15th Checklist 1. Sign agreement Tract 1 is for anyone wanting to deepen their practice and explore yoga theory in more detail but who is not interested in the teaching practicum. Tract 2 is for those wishing to pursue a professional teaching career. There is no difference in price difference or discounts applied to Tract 1 vs Tract 2. Both Tract 1 and Tract 2 will participate in the full 12 - 14 week training. Tract 1 will receive a certificate of completion non-teaching Tract 2 will receive a certificate of completion that can be used to receive an RYT 200 hour registration and full teaching privileges.
