"This Is Portobelo" Opening & Artist Talk
Advertising
Time Out says
In October 2014, four, Atlanta-based, visual artists traveled to the sleepy town of Portobelo, Panama in Central America for a Creative Currents artistic retreat. Together they discovered a place full of cultural vibrancy, tradition and a strong spiritual foundation. For one week the artists were immersed in a mixture of Latin, African, and Native Indian cultural expressions. They explored beaches, colonial ruins and walked with pilgrims during the annual Festival del Nazareno (Black Christ Festival). This exhibition is a result of their explorations. Come meet the artists and hear more about their experiences in Panama.
