This spring, Boston is going all in when it comes to celebrating American history, and Revere Hotel Boston Common has a lock on one of the legendary events that shaped the country's future. To mark 250 years since Paul Revere’s midnight ride, the hotel is throwing a colonial-themed costume party that blends Revolutionary lore with a very modern-day night out.

For this free event on April 18, the lobby will be transformed into a lantern-lit gathering straight out of 1775, if 1775 had a DJ and craft beer on tap. Guests are encouraged to show up in full colonial garb: cloaks, corsets, boots and breeches, or go for a more contemporary look with a revolutionary twist. Either way, it’s history with a whole lot of fun.

Revere’s famous ride helped spark the events that led to American independence, and Boston remains the best place to experience that legacy firsthand. By day, visitors can walk the Freedom Trail, stopping at landmarks like Old North Church and Boston Common. A short trip away, the Paul Revere House offers a closer look at the man behind the legend. By evening, the celebration shifts indoors, where history becomes the backdrop for a lively social scene.

The party will feature a Colonial Classics cocktail menu, New England–inspired bites and a live DJ spinning upbeat tracks throughout the night. There’s also a towering 10-foot Revere sculpture for photo ops, with a chance to win a complimentary stay if you post your snap online. The party is sponsored by Jack’s Abby Brewing, pouring its “Shipping Out of Boston” beer, a fitting nod to local pride.

This is a party to celebrate the past and a party you won't forget. You'll get history, atmosphere and a good excuse to dress up. History is everywhere in Boston, and as America celebrates 250 years, you're invited to join the party and relive the legend that is Paul Revere, cocktail in hand.
