Three Boston area pizzerias were just named among the best in the country

The pizza experts at 50 Top Pizza just revealed the highly anticipated 2026 rankings for the best pizzerias in the United States. Following a rigorous selection process involving anonymous inspections and in-person judging, the prestigious guide celebrated the country's finest dough-slingers at a live-streamed ceremony in New York. While Anthony Mangieri’s famed Una Pizza Napoletana captured the number one spot for the fifth consecutive year, the Boston area proved itself to be a premier pizza destination as well, securing three impressive placements on the coveted list.

Leading the local trio at number 35 is Posto in Somerville. Celebrated for its airy, vibrant dining room centered around a prominent wood-fired oven, Posto won over inspectors with its authentic Neapolitan-style pies. Utilizing premium Italian ingredients, the kitchen crafts pizzas described by the guide as beautifully soft, perfectly cooked and featuring a delightfully pronounced crust.

Over in Cambridge, Si Cara claimed the number 47 spot. This hotspot was recognized for its contemporary approach to Neapolitan pizza-making. 50 Top Pizza specifically highlighted Si Cara's masterful execution of the "canotto" style crust—a puffy, cloud-like edge that is the hallmark of modern pizza craft. The guide lauded the restaurant’s inviting atmosphere and its commitment to a rotating, seasonal menu that seamlessly complements timeless classics like the Margherita.

Quattro in Boston's historic North End came in at number 49. Part of the respected DePasquale Ventures group, Quattro was honored for its deeply rooted Naples-inspired pizza and a robust, broader Italian menu. From traditional Margheritas elevated with rich buffalo mozzarella to inventive combinations like Mortadella and Pistachio, Soppressata and Sausage & Rabe, Quattro bridges old-world tradition with modern Boston flair.
