Last week, we broke the not-so-great news that Time Out Market Boston was slated to close on January 23. But plot twist! Today, we’re thrilled to share that the food and culture hub is officially staying open, thanks to a new operator stepping in.

Under a new license agreement with Time Out Market, longtime Fenway player Samuels & Associates will take over operations at Time Out Market Boston. What does that mean exactly? The name stays, Boston’s food hall lives on and all of the fantastic vendors (and their incredible teams) can keep doing what they do best at the Market.

"Time Out Market is an important neighborhood amenity and an essential part of what makes Fenway work,” says Samuels & Associates CEO Steve Samuels. "Recognizing this, we moved quickly to find a path forward. We're pleased to have reached an agreement that supports continued operations and allows us to work collaboratively with the existing restaurateurs to build on what they have successfully established."

Michael Marlay, CEO of Time Out Market, added: “We are pleased that together with Samuels & Associates we have found a solution to keep Time Out Market in Boston by transitioning to a license agreement. As a highly trusted partner, Samuels & Associates understands the value the food and cultural market brings to the neighborhood. We are delighted for the team, vendors and the Market community—they truly represent the very best of this fantastic city."

In short: Time Out Market Boston isn’t going anywhere, and neither is Time Out Boston as we will continue to write about the best of the city. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu also weighed in on the positive turn of events:

"Every great city needs great food halls, and Time Out Market in Fenway has been a needed gathering space and economic hub showcasing our local culinary talent to residents, coworkers and visitors from around the world," says Mayor Wu.

We’ll see you in Fenway soon, Boston! (Come hungry!)
