[title]The wind has changed direction and Las Palapas is opening a new chapter in Potrerillos. Starting September 17, the space that turned Mendoza’s mountains into a setting for outdoor gatherings will kick off its 2026/2027 season, this time under the name Bitácora del Viento. Electronic music, sunsets, food and scenery will come together once again in a calendar running through December.
For those who already know the Las Palapas ritual in Mendoza, there will be new chapters and artists to discover; for those who have yet to experience it, the season offers a good excuse to travel and see how the landscape changes when music takes center stage. The lineup will feature prominent names from the electronic music world, culminating in a grand finale with Hernán Cattáneo’s Sunsetstrip.
A new chapter for Las Palapas
There is something that remains at Las Palapas, even as each season gets its own name: the mountains as a fundamental part of the experience. This time, the starting point is the wind, the element that runs through the landscape and inspires Bitácora del Viento.
After chapters such as La Península del Tiempo, Origen del Templo and Rituales de Invierno, the space once again builds a season around electronic music and outdoor gatherings. The idea is summed up in one of the phrases accompanying the launch: “New encounters. New landscapes. The same compass.”
The Las Palapas experience goes beyond the dance floor, with areas to relax and take in the surroundings, its shop dedicated to design, art and objects, new visual and lighting installations, as well as a food and signature cocktail offering designed to accompany the transition from afternoon into night.

The first chapter of Bitácora del Viento: Hot Since 82
The first date will be September 17, when British DJ Hot Since 82 takes charge of the season opening. It will mark the beginning of a program that, over the following months, will combine international names with DJs and producers from the local scene.
Next up will be Héctor Couto (09/26), Eze Ramírez (10/03), Silvie Loto (10/10), Lefrak (10/17), Báez & Saint (10/24), Mar Monzon B2B Lulu Matheou (10/31), Danny Howells (11/07), Mateo Dufour (11/14) and Matías Sundblad (11/22). Together, they complete a lineup designed to give each gathering its own sonic journey.
There will also be an edition of Woodstock 69 in Mendoza on November 28. The renowned beach club from the Netherlands will arrive in Potrerillos to create a new gathering where the spirit of the mountains and the sea come together.
Hernán Cattáneo, the season’s grand finale
If the season is conceived as a logbook, December appears as one of its most anticipated chapters. Sunsetstrip, Hernán Cattáneo’s project, will return to Mendoza to close out its 2026 season with two dates at the Gran Hotel Potrerillos, on December 5 and 6, with tickets already sold out.
The prelude will take place at sunset at Las Palapas on December 4. The artists for Pre Sunsetstrip Hernán Cattáneo are Âme Dj, Henry Saiz and Meinz. In this way, Las Palapas’ season finale finds a rather literal way to complete its own logbook: after months of music and gatherings in the mountains, the wind carries the season toward a weekend headlined by one of Argentina’s most renowned DJs on the international electronic music scene.

In Mendoza, Cattáneo’s concept finds a setting that feels particularly fitting: the Andes, the sunset and the dance floor take on a different dimension as the sun goes down. On Saturday 5, the Argentine DJ will be joined by Âme (DJ Set), Argentine duo Soundexile, made up of Oliverio Sofía and Baunder, and Greta Meier, who will handle the warm-up. On Sunday 6, Cattáneo will once again take center stage with an extended set, with the opening set by Fran Bux, one of the emerging names on Argentina’s electronic music scene.
A season to follow the signs
The new Las Palapas season brings some new features. From now on, it has an official ticketing platform where visitors can purchase tickets for the different dates, with the option to pay in three interest-free installments through Mercado Pago. In addition, Mendoza residents will be able to access a 30% discount by validating their address using their physical DNI.
Beyond the new additions, the logic remains the same: arrive in Potrerillos, take in the mountains, listen to music and let the landscape do its part. Because, as Las Palapas announces for this new season, the signs are already in the air. And this time, everything suggests that the journey begins in September and reaches its final stop in December, when Hernán Cattáneo once again brings music to the sunset in the Andes.
