The list for the World's Coolest Streets for 2025 has been released and our very own Kloof Street has cracked the nod... and we couldn't agree more with its inclusion.
Sandwiched between Madrid's Calle del Barquillo (Spain) and London's Blackstock Road (England), Kloof Street claimed the 22nd spot on the list.
Rio de Janeiro's Rua do Senado (Brazil) was crowned as the World's Coolest Street, with Osaka's Orange Street (Japan) and Porto's Rua do Bonjardim (Portugal) finishing in second and third, respectively.
Other streets to make the top 10 were Montreal's Sherbrooke Street West (Canada), Thessaloniki's Olympou Street (Greece), and New York City's Orchard Street (USA).

Why Kloof Street?
Well, why not Kloof Street? It's a rad place to be!
As Time Out Cape Town's City Editor Selene Brophy aptly puts it, "Kloof Street feels like Long Street’s more refined sibling as it pulses with new pop-ups, old-world character, and just a hint of mischief after dark.

You also just have to look at the excitement which surrounded the recent opening of the Kloof Konbini to see that this street is incredibly hot in Cape Town right now (and kinda always has been).
This Coolest Streets nod only adds to the incredible appeal of South Africa as a destination. We can't overlook one of Joburg’s most charming suburbs: Linden, being touted as one of the Coolest Neighbourhoods in the World in 2025. Out of 39 neighbourhoods worldwide, Linden is finally getting the recognition it deserves.
That's right, Mzansi is bringing its very own version of cool for globetrotters and locals alike to enjoy.
