In the lead-up to Youth Day on June 16, this programme nurtures young jazz musicians through mentorship and masterclasses while celebrating South Africa’s rich jazz heritage. Youth Jazz Soloists showcase their talent on Friday, while School Jazz Bands take to the stage on Saturday.

Fantastique is a magic-realist documentary following 14-year-old contortionist Fanta in Conakry, Guinea, as she navigates the tension between family responsibility and her own artistic ambition.
Set against the backdrop of Cavalli Wine Estate, this festival celebrates some of South Africa’s finest Chenin Blanc producers, including Anthonij Rupert Wines, Simonsig Family Vineyards, Jordan Wine Estate, and many more. Following their performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek earlier this year, Ramon Alexander and saxophonist Buddy Wells reunite at the Daisy Jones Bar. The performance will feature music from Alexander’s forthcoming album, alongside fresh interpretations of his compositions by Wells.
