The opera La Vera Costanza, by Portuguese composer Jerónimo Francisco de Lima (1743–1822), returns to the stage more than 230 years after its last performance. Its modern premiere, promoted by Laboratório de Ópera Portuguesa (LOP), will take place at the Salão Preto e Prata at Casino Estoril on 3 October. The production revives the two-act version from 1789, originally performed at Palácio da Ajuda, as part of a project marking the 30th anniversary of Fundação D. Luís I.
