Wine lovers, mark your calendars. On September 20, from 5pm to 10pm, the Sheraton Cascais Resort opens its garden for the 4th edition of Wine Affair. Organised in partnership with Paixão Pelo Vinho magazine, the event bids farewell to summer with a delicious mix of wines, petiscos and live DJ sets.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, visitors can sample over a hundred wines from 28 producers spanning Portugal from north to south. Highlights include Quinta das Corriças from Trás-os-Montes; Douro names like Adega de Favaios, Quinta Sta. Eufémia and Rapazotes; Vinho Verde producers such as Dom Ponciano and Quinta de Maderne; as well as references from Tejo, Lisbon, Setúbal and Alentejo. Notable winemakers like Márcio Lopes and Luís Rodrigues will also be present, alongside brands showcased by sommeliers. The evening closes with sparkling wines from Raposeira, available in several varieties.
To accompany the wines, there will be a curated selection of petiscos. In parallel, the hotel’s Glass Terrace restaurant hosts the Italian Affair, an Italian-themed buffet featuring cheese boards, pizzas, mushroom risotto, pesto ravioli and desserts such as tiramisù and gorgonzola & strawberry cheesecake. Dinner is priced at €42 per person, with a 25% early booking discount available until 13 September.
Tickets for Wine Affair are already on sale, ranging from €18 (single) to €30 (pair). On the day, tickets cost €25 per person. All tickets include the official tasting glass.
