It first opened in 2024, but it’s back for this beach season with a brand-new setup. Try the pizzas, toasts, salads and drinks at the Azarujinha beach bar.

Azarujinha is one of those pocket-sized beaches that feels like a vintage postcard from the Cascais coastline. Sheltered from the wind and tucked between rocky cliffs and grand seaside villas with palm trees at the door, it oozes charm – and lacks space. On high-tide days, beach real estate is tight, so best to arrive early if you want room to stretch out your towel.

Adding to the appeal, last summer the beach got a tasty new addition: the Azarujinha Beach Bar. It made its debut during the 2024 season, closed over the winter, and has just reopened with a revamped look and an all-new menu.

Among the usual drinks you can order here – from coffees and juices to beers, glasses of wine, caipirinhas and gin & tonics – there’s also a solid lineup of snacks and bites for those who’d rather not leave the beach for lunch or a late-afternoon bite. Think pizzas like the classic Margherita (€10), pepperoni (€12), tuna (€12), mushroom (€12) or the LX Bacon (€12). You’ll also find tuna, chicken, ham or cheese sandwiches (€6.50); chicken or tuna toasties (€8.50); and house hot dogs (€6).

There are also salmon and Philadelphia cheese, chicken or tuna wraps (8€). If you're after something lighter, go for one of the salads: chicken, tuna, or a tomato, mozzarella and crouton combo (€8). And beyond the food and drinks, the Azarujinha Beach Bar also hosts regular DJ sets – perfect for a sunset dance session on one of the Paredão’s prettiest beaches.
