Fans of the Portuguese railway – yes, they do exist – won’t want to miss this free event. Fermodel – International Miniature Train Exhibition takes place on October 4 and 5 at Pavilhão Desportivo dos Lombos in Carcavelos.

After the 2024 edition welcomed nearly 8,000 visitors in Alcabideche, the event, organised by the Fermodel association in partnership with the União das Freguesias de Carcavelos e Parede and supported by Cascais City Council, continues to establish itself as a key date in both the national and international model railway scene.

Over two days, from 10.00 to 19.00, visitors can explore dozens of shops, stands, showcases, associations, artisans and builders connected to the world of miniature trains. The 2025 edition also features a new collaboration with the Carcavelos school cluster, showcasing the results of a project developed together with Fermodel.

The programme includes not only detailed model displays and large-scale scenes but also interactive experiences and activities for children, making this a family-friendly event.

Pavilhão Desportivo dos Lombos (Carcavelos). 4–5 Oct (Sat–Sun) 10.00-19.00. Free entry
