From Turkey to New York, from New York to Lisbon, and now from Lisbon to Cascais (even if only temporarily): the pastrami craze shows no signs of slowing down. Between 27 March and 26 April, Let’s Pastrami, which has a shop in São Bento, Lisbon, will take over the wine bar Holy Wine every weekend (from Friday to Sunday) from 12.00PM to 10.00PM – or until stock runs out.

The pop-up promises not only the house’s most popular sandwiches – the Mustard Classic (€13.20/€18.20), with mustard and pickles; the Parisienne (€15.20/€20.20), with caramelised onion, cheese, cabbage slaw and pickles; the Reuben (€14.20–€19.20), with extra cheese; the Spicy Kimchi (€14.50/€19.50), with spicy habanero chilli sauce; the Rachel (€13.70/€18.70), with turkey pastrami; and the Vegetarian (€13.70/€18.70), with smoked cauliflower – but also Bloody Marys (€11) to go with them.

There will also be chips (€5) and Dois Corvos beers (€2.70–€6), as well as, of course, Holy Wine’s natural wines.

Rua Afonso Sanches, 21A, Cascais. Fri–Sun 12.00PM–10.00PM.
