It’s said to be the scariest night of the year, but who believes in witches enough to stay home? In Cascais, there’s plenty to do on October 31st, whether with family or among adults.

Mercado da Vila will be one of the main centres of the celebration, hosting Halloween at the market on Friday, October 31, from 16.00 to 00.00, with food, entertainment, and space to wander among mysterious characters. Cascais FoodLab joins in at the same hours with autumn-inspired gastronomic offerings.

Quinta do Pisão also stands out with a popular double programme: on the night of the 31st there is a pumpkin-themed dinner from 20.00 to 23.00, as well as the traditional nighttime tractor tour with spooky stories at 21.00. The following day, November 1, there is a pumpkin-painting session for all ages.

The festivities extend to several local associations: Sociedade de Instrução e Recreio de Janes e Malveira hosts MPV Halloween from 23.00; Grupo de Instrução Popular da Amoreira kicks off its Halloween Party at 21.30; Sociedade Musical União Paredense presents SMUP’S Walking Dead Band with a masked ball at 20.45; Sociedade Recreativa Musical de Carcavelos hosts Carcavelloween at 21.00; Grupo Desportivo do Zambujeiro offers a party for all ages from 17.00 to 00.00; and União Recreativa da Charneca opens its Halloween 2025 from 17.00 to 02.00.

The celebrations continue on November 1st with the Halloween Ball at GIMD Abóboda from 18.00, for those who don’t tire of dancing among monsters, witches, and other spooky creatures.

For those who prefer different activities, GR Mato Cheirinhos organises a night-time peddy paper starting at 20.30 on the 31st, while GMD 31 de Janeiro Manique de Baixo begins its Halloween evening at 19.30.
