If Cascais Bay is the muse of thousands of photographs of the town, then Hotel Baía is its greatest protagonist. Facing the beach, the imposing hotel is the face of the bay, witnessing the hustle and bustle of daily life in downtown Cascais and the significant moments that unfold there. Now, at 62 years old, the hotel is reborn with a fresh new look, offering many novelties and a packed agenda.

This April, the party kicks off with the reopening of the Blue Bar. For those looking to start the weekend off right, the program is set: DJs on Fridays and Saturdays, from late afternoon until midnight. On nights when the Blue Bar is buzzing, there's plenty of food and drinks on offer with a varied menu still being crafted by the chefs.

But this terrace with its privileged view is not just about the bar. The top deck features sun loungers and chairs ready for a day of relaxation—whether it's reading a book, tackling a crossword puzzle, or soaking up the sun for a tan. If you happened to book your stay during the winter months, fear not because you can still enjoy the heated pool.

Heading down to the rooms, the novelties continue. If you're in the habit of booking a sea-view room, you already know you're in for a breathtaking experience. However, those who end up with rooms overlooking the mountains and the town center are also lucky. They have the privilege of waking up to a work of art: a mural by Jaqueline de Montaigne—a Cascais artist with global success—on a wall directly in front of the rooms. Here, if you leave the windows slightly open, you can enjoy the soundtrack of life in the village outside, the sounds of families on their outings, and even the historic carousel in the village.

Settle into bed, atop the mountain of pillows, for a well-deserved rest, in the room with dark wood and golden details that create a perfect ambiance for a luxurious stay.

Thought it was over? Not quite yet. Starting in May, but still without a confirmed date, mornings will begin with a free yoga session (8:00 am to 9:00 am) for hotel guests. And since exercising with this view hardly feels like a chore, they are considering opening up entry to the general public, for a symbolic fee, depending on space availability. On Sundays, from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm, after working up an appetite with all that exercise, you can head down to brunch, which you can even take outside to enjoy on the best terrace in Cascais. The menus have all been revamped and focus on local, seasonal products that prioritize healthy eating.

The view, the space, the service, and the prime location ensure that this is an experience that is unlikely to be forgotten.
