It's a performance that pays homage to the legendary Édith Piaf, a towering figure in French music, marking the 60th anniversary of her passing. Piaf! The Show makes its Portuguese debut in December, with shows at Casino Estoril (on the 2nd) and Teatro Tivoli BBVA in Lisbon (on the 3rd).
Fronted by Nathalie Lermitte, this musical theatre piece has been on a global tour. It has visited over 50 countries, surpassing a thousand performances, viewed by more than a million spectators. The show is crafted and directed by musician and artistic director Gil Marsalla.
The setlist will include all the hits that were immortalized by Édith Piaf's voice, from "La Vie en Rose" to "Jezebel", through "La Foule", "Hymne à L’Amour", "Milord", and "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien". The backdrop features a scenography that evokes the Paris of yesteryears, with never-before-seen projected images of the city and the artist herself.
Tickets are already on sale. For Casino Estoril, prices range from €25 to €65. For Lisbon, they're available from €30 to €50.
