Cascais’ official fan zone for the 2026 World Cup has free entry, a giant screen and live screenings of the tournament’s biggest matches.

Get the scarves out, warm up those vocal cords and start rallying the group chat. During the World Cup, all roads lead to Mercado da Vila. In partnership with the Portuguese Football Federation and the Pintar Portugal project, Cascais’ market will become the town’s meeting point for watching the tournament.
The initiative is taking place across the country and, in Cascais, it comes in full fan zone mode: giant screen, free entry, a party atmosphere and plenty of room to celebrate properly – assuming the results give us reason to, of course.
Mercado da Vila will be dressed in red and green to welcome supporters, families, groups of friends, die-hard fans and those who swear they do not care about football but somehow always turn up. The programme includes screenings of the tournament’s main matches, with a special focus on Portugal. The national team faces DR Congo on 17 June, at 6pm; returns to the pitch against Uzbekistan on 23 June, also at 6pm; and takes on Colombia on 28 June, at 12.30am. In between, there will be other matches to watch at Mercado da Vila too: Spain v Cape Verde, on 15 June, at 5pm; Uruguay v Cape Verde, on 21 June, at 11pm; and Scotland v Brazil, on 24 June, at 11pm.
“Cascais is delighted to be part of this project, helping to create spaces where everyone can experience the excitement of the 2026 World Cup together, support Portugal and celebrate the pride of being Portuguese”, said Cascais mayor Nuno Piteira Lopes.
Arrive early, claim a good spot, bring friends and family and do the World Cup properly.
