Chefs on Fire is back for what promises to be its biggest edition yet, bringing together dozens of chefs, plenty of flames, live music and a relaxed open-air atmosphere. So you do not miss a thing, we have prepared this complete guide to the festival that, over two days, turns Cascais into the country’s gastronomic epicentre.
What are the dates for Chefs on Fire?
The festival takes place over the weekend of 19 and 20 September 2026, Saturday and Sunday.
Where?
In Parque Marechal Carmona, in Cascais. The site is spacious, surrounded by nature and ideal for the whole family.
How does Chefs on Fire work?
The concept is simple and direct: chef-made dishes cooked strictly with fire and smoke. Visitors buy tickets that give access to the site and may include a set number of food and drink portions. With that credit, all you have to do is wander between the stands, choose dishes prepared live, watch concerts and enjoy the space. Tickets range from €50, for entry only, to €200, for a two-day pass with 15 dishes and ten drinks. Daily options with food and drink included cost €85, with five dishes and two drinks, or €100, with seven dishes and four drinks. Children aged six to 12 pay €20.
Besides eating, what else is there to do?
The site hosts activities throughout the day and into the evening on both festival dates. As well as the continuous food stands, there will be fine dining lunches and dinners at Casa-Museu de Santa Maria, along with food talks, known as Fire Talks, and training sessions at the Escola de Fogo.
Who is cooking at Chefs on Fire?
The chefs’ line-up features dozens of prestigious names, including chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants, as well as new talents and established figures.

Desserts by Verónica Dias (Brites) and Lara Figueiredo (MACAM).
Sunday 20 September: Afonso Dantas (A Cozinha do Paço), Ricardo Costa (The Yeatman), Diogo Formiga (Encanto), Angélica Salvador (IN Diferente), Vítor Matos (Antiqvvm), Tiago Penão (Kappo), Louise Bourrat (Mammarua), João Magalhães (Bar Alimentar), Michele Marques (Mercearia do Gadanha), Fagner Buzinhani (Gojuu), Matias Natuche (Barbela), Pedro Lemos and Nelson Soares (Sult). The day’s Rising Star is Petter Nyström (Familjen). Desserts by Filipe Manhita (Fortaleza do Guincho) and Nathalie Inês (Sála).
Are there chefs coming from abroad?
Yes. Alongside the strong national contingent, the festival includes international talents and guest chefs, continuing its global expansion with dedicated international stages.
Who is providing the music at Chefs on Fire?
On the first day, 19 September, the music line-up includes Bateu Matou, a joint performance by Agir & Paulo de Carvalho, and Silk Nobre. The full programme will also include intimate concerts at Mesa dos Artistas, surprise performances and roaming bands moving around the site. The artists for 20 September are not yet known.
What should you do if you eat too much?
You can cheat and take a Rennie, but why not make the most of it and go for a walk through the gardens of Parque Marechal Carmona? That really is the best way to digest. You can relax in the shaded rest areas under the trees, attend the Fire Talks to learn more about cooking, or simply enjoy the live music. Going with children? The Kids area keeps the whole family entertained. You can also use the excuse to take a walk through town or even go for a little run and burn off some of those calories.
