Don’t expect luxury: this is an honest and simple place to eat cheaply and well. The tables are close together, should there be a lot of you, and the service is fast and friendly. It is a classic in the centre of Cascais, where there are always good sardines in season, and other fresh fish cooked on the grill. It is also a good place for one of Portugal’s favourite dishes: the bitoque (steak with egg and chips).
