We couldn't think of a better way to weather this year's presidential election than to drink our way through it. So, we teamed up with West Town's Moneygun to create two election-themed cocktails that people on both sides of the aisle can get behind, whether you're a political elephant or donkey.

Try the Hillary's Electronic Mail Mystery, a Scotch-based drink with blackberries, basil and lemon, or grab the Make the Margarita Great Again, a margarita with gin and Cynar instead of tequila and triple sec. These exclusive cocktails are available through Election Day by request only. Raise your glass to democracy, Chicago.

Would you rather make these drinks at home? Moneygun was nice enough to give us the recipes so you can shake up your own while you tune in to your nightly news programming of choice.

Hillary's Electronic Mail Mystery:
4 confiscated blackberries
2 basil leaves
1 spoon bar sugar
¾ oz lemon juice
1½ oz Cutty Shark Prohibition scotch

Combine blackberries with basil and sugar. Muddle. Add the lemon juice and Cutty Sark Prohibition scotch. Shake and pour over ice. Garnish with blackberries and basil leaf.

Make the Margarita Great Again:
1½ oz Aviation gin
¼ oz Cynar liqueur
½ oz agave syrup
½ oz lime juice
½ oz juice from a soft-bodied, hard-headed orange

Combine Aviation gin, Cynar, agave syrup, lime and orange juice. Garnish the glass with salt. Shake and pour over ice. Garnish with a slice of lime.
