The iconic clock at State and Washington, the Frango mints—yes, we know they’re not made here anymore—and the magnificent Tiffany dome you can see up close from the fifth floor are just a few of the attractions that make this department store, one of the largest in the world, a must-see. The selection here is so abundant it's overwhelming, offering everything from modestly priced pots and pans to high-end fashion. Holiday-themed window displays go up every November, and you can even take a guided group tour.

This is my favorite Macy's I've ever been to (and I've visited the New York location as well). It's especially impressive at Christmas time with the outside decor and famous window displays (people crowd around them to take photos). The Walnut Room is located at the top floor and it's such a fun restaurant to visit. This department store has everything and you could spend hours in here!

Macy's might be a department store, but it's simply one of the best in Chicago. There's truly something for everyone here on your shopping and tons of impulse buys for yourself. Stylish men's clothes are especially cheap here.
