Cleveland Heights: Home & Collection of John Williams and the Collection of William Busta & Joan Tomkins

Architect John Williams, who owns his own architecture firm called Process Creative Studios (and is the talent behind the renovation of the new Heinen's downtown from last year's tour), designed and built his mid-century modern home among stone houses built in the 1920's in the Ambler Heights historic district of Cleveland Heights. As seen above, light floods the open-concept, main living area with floor-to-ceiling windows in the back of the home. William's collection is a must see consisting of major photography and Cleveland contemporary art.

The home of noted Cleveland Arts Prize winning gallerist Bill Busta and his wife Joan Tomkins is a museum of sorts. Having worked with or exhibited many of the major artists to come through and from Cleveland over more than 20 years, they have amassed a significant collection of important Cleveland art. Works of art on view of 100 artists who have been active in Ohio, in a deliberate variety of media, including collages, textiles, painting, photography, metals, prints, books, ceramics, neon, and video. Among featured artists are Laurence Channing, Michael Loderstedt, Don Harvey, Dexter Davis, Timothy Callaghan, Hildur Ásgeirsdóttir Jónsson, Eva Kwong, Kirk Mangus, David Alban, Megan Sweeney, Craig Lucas, Mary Jo Bole, Garie Crawford Waltzer, Lori Kella, Jason K.
