**UPDATE** Now you can also pick up a free pass to attend the Cleveland advance screening of Far from the Madding Crowd, starring Carey Mulligan and Michael Sheen. Based on the 1874 classic novel by Thomas Hardy, it is the love story of a beautiful and spirited young woman who finds herself torn between three very different men. The screening is taking place on Wednesday, May 13 at 7:00pm at Cinemark Valley View.

About our May authors:

Chigozie Obioma was born in Akure, Nigeria. He was a fall 2012 OMI fellow at Ledig House, New York, and has won Hopwood Awards for fiction and poetry. His short stories have appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review and Transition. He has lived in Nigeria, Cyprus, Turkey and currently lives in the United States where he has completed an MFA in Creative Writing and is now a Fiction Fellow at the University of Michigan. His novel The Fishermen is due out in April from Little, Brown.

Mary Doria Russell is the internationally acclaimed author of six novels, including The Sparrow, A Thread of Grace, and Doc. Her latest, Epitaph, continues the story she began in Doc, following Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday to Tombstone, Arizona, and to the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. The Sparrow is in development as an AMC series; Doc and Epitaph are under option by Ron Howard and Akiva Goldsman.
