Poster Printing, Ames Family Atrium
Try out mono-printing with Zygote Press and CMA teaching artists, featuring two different posters created especially for the day with excerpts from Dr. King’s speech, “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop.” Add your portrait to the poster. Take it home or contribute to a collaborative display in the atrium.

Dr. King’s speech, “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop,” begins with a description of several great eras of history leading up to the civil rights movement and the 20th century. Use Dr. King’s words as a way to explore the museum’s collection using this self-guided tour. Available at the information desk.
Film: King: A Filmed Record... Montgomery to Memphis, Parker-Hannifin Donor Gallery
Explore the life of Dr. King through this renowned 1970 documentary. The film is created from newsreel and other film footage of the period from the Montgomery bus boycott of 1955 and 1956 through his assassination in 1968. The film will run continuously throughout the day.
