Magic Man
Electronic | Providence RI

Magic Man began as a duo who grew out of spare moments and idle hours during a summer spent volunteering on different organic farms. Their debut album Real Life Color was released in 2010. Three years since the release of Real Life Color, Magic Man has evolved from two college students behind a laptop into a five-person band. Magic Man has released their newest song Paris Feb.14 2013. The band originally comprised of Alex Caplow and Sam Lee added Justine Bowe, Daniel Radin, and Nolan Robert into the mix, and have added a new indie pop/rock style to their synth-pop roots. Alex previously played with a band called Gulls, Sam writes music under the name The Tumbled Sea, Daniel is a member of the band The Novel Ideas, and Justine writes music as Photocomfort

Indie | Sydney New South Wales Australia

Forming in February 2012, Sydney five-piece, The Griswolds were Parklife Unearthed winners, triple j Unearthed feature artist, picked up by over 100 blogs around the globe and supported the likes of Django Django (UK), Last Dinosaurs and San Cisco, simply by posting their first track "Mississippi" online.

The Aussie party boys' infectious melodies and catchy tunes arrive just in time for summer. Neon Gold Blog hails "Their euphoric slice of indie pop brings to mind the youthful exuberance of Vampire Weekend with the nonchalant cool of The Strokes and percussive intensity of Friendly Fires..."

"Heart Of A Lion," the band's first track, will be available digitally September 3rd. Upon its release in Australia, the song was immediately added into high rotation on triple j and ended 2012 as one of the station's most played tracks of the year. The international airwaves were quick to take notice with the song attracting airplay in over 20 countries worldwide and landing the #12 spot on We are Hunted's emerging chart. "Heart Of A Lion" also reached #3 on the radio airplay charts in The Netherlands via tastemaker station 3FM and was an iTunes single of the week in the region.

Indie Shuffle calls "Heart of a Lion" "...light, upbeat and fun, it will put a smile on your face and some dance in your step...It's certainly one of the best new songs I've heard recently..." while The Burning Ear says "These guys are fun in a bottle. ["Heart of a Lion" has] big 'ooh, oohs,' a relentless rhythm section, and then that little tender part at where you recompose yourself before building up to the rock-outro."
