Acclaimed singer Marilyn Cordial Mincer, a Cleveland favorite, will perform music of Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Burt Bacharach, Luis Demetrio, Pablo Ruiz and more. Joining Marilyn is her trio of Jazz All-Stars including: Dan Maier, piano, Dallas Coffey, bass, & Professor of Jazz Percussion at Cleveland State University, Bill Ransom. Throughout the evening, Marilyn will feature CIM students to highlight jazz talent at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Marilyn's warm and sultry voice is an unmistakable original. Her CD, "Marilyn Cordial The Jazz Project," features Marilyn's soulful performances of traditional and straight-ahead jazz, r & b, swing, soulful ballads, and Latin rhythms.

Marilyn performs around the U.S. and international travels including NYC, Paris, London, Munich, cities in Italy and Spain, Croatia and others. Marilyn has opened for musical artists: Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Edwin McCain, blues artist Beth Hart and others. Marilyn sings the national anthem for NBA teams including the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Houston Rockets, and for special events including House of Blues Chicago Gospel Brunch and the IMG Grand Prix in Cleveland.

At age three, Marilyn, taught by her mother, wrote her first song on piano and began studying music and learning to play every instrument she could find. As a teenager she began focusing all of her musical talents on her favorite styles... pop, jazz, and r & b. She performed in theater productions at The Ohio State University as "Rizzo," in Grease and others.

What is reflected in Marilyn's music today is the passion and appreciation for diverse soulful musical styles, an innate love of rhythm and excitement to always create something new.
With excellent reviews and excitement about "The Jazz Project," Marilyn Cordial's debut release is a jazz hit. Be sure to seek out her live shows in support of this great album and her always exciting performances.
