The year was 2006: Justin Timberlake was bringing sexy back, the iPhone was still a year away, everyone was watching American Idol, and Melt Bar & Grilled opened its doors for the very first time in downtown Lakewood, Ohio. Today, Melt is Ohio’s favorite gourmet grilled cheese restaurant and is proud to announce a special lineup of anniversary events to begin its next ten years!
The Melt (ART) Challenge Exhibition brings together over 25 Cleveland artists who will exhibit original Melt-inspired artwork in honor of Melt’s tenth anniversary. This free event happens Friday, September 16th from 5pm - 9pm at PopEye Art Gallery at 78th Street Studios. Some of Matt Fish’s favorite artists will judge the work and award prizes, including “Melt for a Year” to the first place winner. All pieces will be on sale and artists will be on-site for a meet and greet and to discuss their creations. Special pieces by Derek Hess, John G. and Jake Kelly will also be on display, with live music starting at 9pm. http://www.popeyegallery.com
