A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM / EDU-TAINMENT
Join the curator of the Halle Costume museum at the Cleveland History Center as you a walk down Cleveland's Millionaire's Row.... Euclid Avenue. See the clothing worn by many a well-to-do Clevelander of the early 1900's. From there we go to Euclid Beach Park and take a ride on the original Grand Carousel. This is your chance to ride colorful, hand-carved wooden horses, once at Euclid Beach Park on Cleveland’s lakefront. You will then visit the Ohio Knitting Mill (OKM) of the 1950's and ‘60's and view their once secret, and surviving, inventory of original sweaters and other knit garments. All of these were manufactured at the OKN; right here in Cleveland. These items, in nearly pristine condition, will captivate you and remind you that “fashion revisits fashion”. Some of these magnificent sweaters will even be available to purchase. The Halle Costume Wing will come alive during this “retro-night” cocktail party of fashion and history… a fun and educational Night at the Museum.
