In spite of the psychedelic chaos that tends to go on around him, every time I have seen him play drums live, he has played with a completely straight face, a cigarette in his mouth the entire time. Being ice-cold while surrounded by noise clearly suits Thomas, and it's a joy to watch. I last checked in with Obnox for last year's I'm Bleeding Now LP, an unhinged, raging piece of Midwestern rock and roll that fit perfectly into Thomas' pedigree and which has since become a favorite headphone soundtrack for walking around exhausted, hungover, or both.
