Swing Dance Workshop Advanced Fundamentals Of Partnered Charleston

The Movement Factory says
Partnered Charleston began in the 1920s with the dancers facing each other and dancing to very typical Charleston songs. Over the years this dance form morphed just like the music did. Dancers began to connect in side-by-side position, hand-to-hand position and in-line/front-to-back position. In this workshop you will learn the basics of each form of partnered Charleston, a few easy moves and some transitions into and out of each form.

You do not need a partner to take this class as we will rotate partners. Instructors will dance with students.

*This class will move at a rapid pace. Students with some previous swing dance/Charleston experience and/or students who are fast learners will love this class. Extra details, alternate moves, information on technique, and footwork options will be given in this advanced fundamentals class.

The teachers for this workshop are Get Hep Swing owner, Valerie Salstrom and local Charleston fanatic, Corrie Holliday.
